My great-great Grandfather William opened the first Loake factory with his brothers John & Thomas, back in 1880. Today, five generations and more than 140 years later, the Loake association with fine, handmade footwear lives on.
The Loake family business has been making traditional shoes since 1880. The Goodyear Welted construction for which we are renowned is an intricate process with each pair taking up to eight weeks to complete. We still believe there is no finer way to make a gentleman’s shoe and only the very best materials and highest level of skill are used. Alongside our Goodyear welted footwear, Loake also design and produce collections of the shoes using a variety of constructions. This enables us to offer a complete wardrobe of shoes for almost any occasion.
